FMFA's Airport Challenge
A-2 cotton Jacket
FMFA has opened up an Airport Challenge to all members starting March 12, 2008 and running thru Nov. 30, 2008. Any member that flys to, lands, and meets all the rules listed for the challenge of the 23 airports shown on the chart will receive an A-2 cotton flight jacket as depicted in the photo. If you wish to upgrade to a Leather jacket and pay the difference in price, the details can be worked out.
If you are interested download the log sheet and start flying to the different locations. Remember to make a note on each dispatch sheet when you finish flying noting that you wish to use that flight as part of the Airport Challenge.

Rules:
- Airports challenge will be in effect from March 12, 2008 - Nov. 30, 2008, Results will be presented at the Dec. 2008 Safety meeting.
- If you fly to and land at all airports you will receive an A-2 cotton flight jacket, with the FMFA Logo. You can choose to pay the difference and purchase the A-2 LEATHER jacket.
- If you fly two circuits you have a choice of two cotton jackets or one LEATHER A-2 flight jacket.
- No Duplicates on the same flight. Only the PIC can count airports. Instructors cannot count airports unless they make a paid flight
- If you choose to list the flight as a airport challenge you cannot use the flight time for chits the next month.
- If you don't complete a circuit by Nov. 30th your accumulated flight time will earn dues refund chits at the standard rate (6 hrs = 1 chit), you must show attempted involvement in challenge.
- You must have some type of receipt from each airport you land at, (for a meal, qt of oil, drink, anything with the location/date on it.) If you're flying with an instructor on board they can sign a paper saying that you made a full stop landing at each applicable airport.
- You must use the FMFA aircraft when flying to each airport.
- A form will be available for you to log all your flights (date, location, aircraft, invoice #, attach receipts, etc). These forms are to be handed in on or before Nov. 30, 2008.
- A flight summary will be posted at the club house for pilots to check off the airports they land at during the challenge period.
Other Specials
- Fly 6 - 11 hours per month; receive a chit equal to your dues for that month.
- Fly 12 or more hours per month; receive a chit equal to DOUBLE your dues for that\ month.
- Monthly Contests:
- Return with a receipt from the most distant airport restaurant
- Take the longest cross country flight
Winner of each contest earns a 5% discount on the next flight. Note: entries may not be combined in a single flight
