Private Pilot Ground School

September 15th - November 5th

Location: Tipton Operations Building Annex (old Tipton Airport Firehouse)

Materials: The materials for Private Ground School vary depending on what the student already has, to a maximum of $83 for the classroom materials (plotter, E6B, Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, Gleim PVT Test Prep, FAR/AIM, and a logbook for end-of-course endorsement). Additional items may be required for flying lessons (Jepp syllabus - $20; student record - $6; PTS for PVT ASEL - $6).

  6. Ch 8 Weight & Balanace, Ch 9 Aircraft Performance

  8. Ch 11 Weather Reports, Forecasts and Charts
  9. Stage II Exam & Revew
  10. Ch 12 Airport Operations, Ch 13 Airspace
  11. Ch 14 Navigation
  12. Ch 14 Navigation (Continued)
  13. Ch 15 Aeromedical Factors, Ch 16 Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM)

Instrument Ground School

September 14th - October 21st

Materials: The kit for instrument class is the Jeppesen-Sanderson Part 61 Instrumt/Coml Kit and costs $120.
